Medication Refills:
Advance Notice Requirement:
To avoid interruptions in treatment, please request all medication refills at least 14 days before you run out.
Controlled Substances:
Refills for controlled substances may require an appointment and additional time for processing. Please schedule ahead to avoid delays.
Processing Time:
Refill requests are processed within 48–72 business hours. This does not include weekends or holidays. We appreciate your patience and encourage you to plan accordingly.
Emergency Situations:
In the event of an urgent need or medication issue, contact us as soon as possible, but note that same-day refills are not guaranteed.
Missed Appointments or Overdue Follow-ups:
We may not be able to process your refill if you are overdue for a follow-up appointment or have missed a scheduled visit. Please stay up-to-date with your care plan.

Cancellation Policy:
Rutherford PMHNP BC-PLLC maintains a 48-hour cancellation policy for all appointments, including initial visits. Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in a charge to the card on file for the full appointment fee. Please note that cancellation fees cannot be billed to insurance.

How to Request a Refill:
All refill requests must be sent via email to:

Full name and date of birth
Name and dosage of the medication
Preferred pharmacy name and location
A callback number in case clarification is needed
Patient Portal Access:
Our electronic health record (EHR) system is managed through TherapyAppointment (https://www.therapyappointment.com)
Once your account is set up, you can use the portal to:
Complete Forms – All required intake and follow-up forms will be assigned electronically.
